Discover The Newest Sponsored Prize At The Reader Views Fiction Awards 

This year, I am sponsoring an award at the Reader Views Fiction Awards.

The Reader Views Fiction Awards program recognizes outstanding independently published fiction across a wide range of genres, honoring work by independent authors and small presses alike. The awards encourage and spotlight quality storytelling through professional evaluation, review coverage, and award recognition.

The award is named “The Ben St. James Author & Illustrator Award.” The winner is selected from authors who both wrote and illustrated their own picture book. Early reader books, chapter books, and graphic novels in which the author also served as illustrator may also be considered.

Note: I will not be involved in the judging process. The highly experienced award committee at Reader Views will select the winner.

In 2023, Guinea Pig Power received Bronze at the Reader Views Awards. It was the first of many awards the book earned between 2023 and 2025, becoming one of the most awarded self-published books of 2024. Reader Views helped kick off that run, and I hope this sponsored award will become a catalyst for new authors as well.

Winners receive a news release distributed across numerous media outlets, along with an award seal.

I am hopeful this is the first of many years this award will be offered, and I cannot wait to see this year’s winner.
