About Me

Ben St. James is a Sugar Creek-based author who began his career in publishing by contributing comic illustrations for his high school newspaper and writing reviews of classic video games online. He has worked with approximately 400 authors, including TEDx speakers, Forbes contributors, and Olympians, in various creative and strategic roles. Ben has also designed cartoon mascots and logos for numerous companies across Canada and the U.S.A.

At the heart of every project he undertakes is a story, reflecting his commitment to narrative and creativity in all his work.

His experience encompasses consulting, mobile game design, animation, ghostwriting and illustrating children’s books. Between 2021 and 2024, he has helped over 30 books become #1 bestsellers on Amazon. Additionally, he engages in designing merchandise prototypes, creating comprehensive story bibles.

Testimonials

Being creative and writing comes naturally to me, but the tech and business side of publishing is where I needed the most guidance… The marketing package gave me a good overview of where to start to begin the deep dive.

  • Moonbeam award-winning author and homeschooling expert Sarah Uren

“It’s obvious that you do great work and take care of your clients.”

  • Rene F. Tyo (Author)

“Your illustrations have a great spirit”

  • Paul Cade (Visual Artist, Hollywood Film Director, & Author)

“I’m still using some of your marketing strategies and have been fortunate enough to be accepted to speak at some prestigious events. I am also thrilled to moderate our Lincoln Pelham Public Library’s “Books on the Bench” program, where some best-selling authors I’ve interviewed include Linwood Barclay and Emma Donoghue. Not only is it rewarding to hold this role, but being introduced as a 3-time published author to audiences of 100+ guests isn’t such a bad thing, either. So again, Ben, thank you for your help.”

“You have done so much, and I am still catching up.”
