Where did “Guinea Pig Power” place in the Spring 2024 Competition?
This weekend we celebrate Bookfest – Spring 2024, starting April 6th at 10:30. With events featuring prominent authors, literary luminaries, celebrity guests, keynote speakers, thought leaders, and publishing professionals, there is a lot to enjoy for fans and authors of all genres of books.
“Guinea Pig Power,” written and illustrated by Ben St. James, took home two prizes from the event! The book secured the Silver in the Fiction > Juvenile – Bedtime & Dreams category, behind maverick author Carly Mottinger’s “How to Make a Monster Disappear,” which took the top spot.
“Guinea Pig Power” was also recognized in the Artistic & Technical > Book Cover – Illustration category, where it was awarded Bronze. This is Ben St. James’ first award as an illustrator!
